About Us
Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; motto.
Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.
Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.
Our club conducts its activities in Bass Hill, George Hall, Chester Hill, Milperra, Panania, Padstow, Revesby, Villawood and Yagoona areas.
The club was formed in 1958 and today continues to play a significant role within the community by applying the principles of Lionism, to assist the handicapped, disadvantaged and infirm within the community.
Each month the members meet for two convivial dinner meetings and discuss, in a relaxed atmosphere, what we can do to serve our community. As a group we can make a difference- effectively carrying out project activities, fundraising and assisting those members of our community in most need. We also get involved in helping the young people in the community achieve there potential by way of award and scholarship projects. In addition to our local activities we are able, through Lions International, play a direct part in assisting in those parts of the world troubled by natural disaster and poor circumstances.
